Don’t Overlook These Important Relationships

Hey lovely!

Today’s message won’t be long. But you know how I am already by now I hope… so in the latest Indie news I’ve kicked full time nursing to the curb in order to embrace full time entrepreneurship.

As of April 1st I said deuces to full time nursing but how bout nobody told your girl how difficult it could be at times to focus on work at home.. oh my..

Snacks, TV, laundry and various “projects” had me like “Business.. what business?” LOL!

I had to have to come to Jesus meeting with myself and with my coach so I could literally #getmylife.

When I was working 5 nights a week I was way more disciplined because I knew I had a limited amount of time to get things done. I was sleepy but slaying honey!

Now with all this new found freedom hmmm not so much..

So in trying to come up with what would be the best schedule or routine to follow I decided the easiest thing to do would be to prioritize tasks in order of relationships. Hint: GAME CHANGER ALERT

Ready? Let’s go

  1. God : He is the true CEO of my business so it only makes sense that we meet early in the day to discuss things right?
  2. Myself: I can’t give to others if I allow myself to become depleted so I spend time reading, exercising, journaling daily. I also add self care like nails, hair and massages, Sephora runs on a regular. When I look and feel good, I’m more apt to keep “Binge Indie” on notice that she is not welcome until my day is productive.
  3. Family/Bae: Besides my mission to help other women entrepreneurs they are the most important reason I’m doing what I am so why minimize working nights if they are not going to see me. Weekends now belong exclusively to family, the Bae, and friends.
  4. Business: By taking care of the other 3 things when I am focused on business I can actually get things done now. I am inspired. I am rested. But most importantly I’m making progress. Sometimes that means during the week I gotta thug it out and put in a 8-12 hour day doing things but that’s ok. If I could work 60 hrs a week for a hospital SURELY I can do so for myself if need be. I’m saying…

Once I got CLEAR on the relationships then it was very easy to give myself a schedule that doesn’t have me running around in full hot mess mode. It’s a new thing I’m trying so I will be sure to keep you posted on my progress.

However, you’ll be able to see it as well because I won’t be missing in action under a comforter with some wine, snacks and a new series to watch.. I will conquer!

So now it’s your turn.. Take an inventory of the important relationships in your life and build yourself a schedule that puts them in priority as well as your dreams and watch your focus and discipline to get things done increase!

Until next time…

P.S. I’ve been working on a new video series about the importance of relationships when it comes to sales and attracting clients. So make sure to stay tuned for it!
